Our Commitments

Our Commitments

We believe that everyone has the power to Face Anything.

We believe in a diverse and inclusive standard of beauty in which every person has the freedom to set their own definition of ‘beauty’ based on personal preferences. We believe in superior science. With over 70 years of a science-first approach to skin care we’re dedicated to providing quality products, safe ingredients and real results.

Face the STEM Gap
STEM careers drive our company and our products
In OLAY’s labs, a diverse team of skin experts work side-by-side to bring scientifically advanced products to market. We recognize the importance of gender equality in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). OLAY is committed to #FacetheSTEMGap by helping to double the number of women in STEM and triple the number of women of color in STEM by 2030.

Facing the Stem Gap
Key Partners in Closing the STEM Gap
HBCUs play a crucial role in increasing women of color in the STEM field — 25 percent of African American STEM graduates come from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and HBCUs produced 46% of Black women who earned STEM degrees between 1995 and 2004.

To #FacetheSTEMgap, we’re partnering with HBCU and STEM scholars, working towards our goal of tripling the number of women of color in STEM careers by 2030.

Equality & Inclusion
OLAY is committed to equality and inclusion, and champions a more diverse and inclusive standard of beauty in which there is not one, but many, representations of what is “beautiful.” We have demonstrated our efforts to make the beauty industry more inclusive and accessible for all through our work to increase female STEM careers, elevate the voices of women of color in the film industry with Queen Collective, create accessible packaging for people with disabilities and support of the LGBTQIA community with The Trevor Project.

Olay Skin Promise
OLAY Celebrates Real Skin
In 2021, we introduced the OLAY Skin Promise, a commitment to zero skin retouching in all advertising, becoming the first mass skin care brand in the US to make this stance. The OLAY Skin Promise logomark appears on all our advertising to signify that the skin of the person featured has not been retouched.

End Animal Cruelty
OLAY is calling for an end to animal testing in skin care and the beauty industry.
We do not test our products on animals. However, in a few countries where OLAY is sold, governments still mandate animal tests. We want this to stop. Therefore, OLAY, via its parent company P&G, is calling for an end to all animal testing of cosmetic products globally, partnering with Humane Society International’s #BeCrueltyFree Campaign to advance that vision.
