Susan Weinkle, MD
Dr. Susan Weinkle is a board certified dermatologist with a solo practice in Bradenton, FL, specializing in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology. She has held academic appointments at Stanford University Hospital, the University of California Irvine Medical Center and most recently at the University of South Florida.
Dr. Weinkle received her medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville and completed her residency and fellowship training in dermatology at Stanford University, where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Weinkle is affiliated with numerous professional societies. She is Vice President of the Women’s Dermatologic Legacy Council and has served as past President of Women’s Dermatologic Society. She is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and a Diplomat of the Board of Dermatology. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Board of Directors of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS). She now serves as President- Elect of the ASDS. Currently, Dr Weinkle serves as Vice Chairperson of the Dermatologic Foundation and a Board Trustee. She is also on the Board of Directors of the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Weinkle is a medical editor for Drugs in Dermatology and is on the editorial boards of Practical Dermatology and the Journal of Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatology. She has published over a dozen articles on skin carcinoma, surgical techniques and cosmetic therapies. She frequently lectures on behalf of the American Academy of Dermatology and other dermatology societies, both nationally and internationally.
